  • Who is eligible to attend prom?
    Teenage (13-19 years old as of June 13, 2025) oncology patients and survivors from one of the three following Northeast Ohio hospitals: Akron Children's Hospital​ Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital Each patient/survivor may bring one 13-19 year old guest
  • How can I RSVP, is there a deadline?
    Yes! You must RSVP using the registration form that can be found here when it becomes available by May 16, 2025. * Please reach out to Michele (Michele.Rothstein@UHhospitals.org) if your patient ​wishes to register after May 16 as space is limited​​
  • Who should I contact with questions about prom?

  • Who should I contact for assistance purchasing a dress or a tux?
    We are more than happy to help with a dress or tux rental. Please contact Michelle (Michelle.Petrie@UHhospitals.org) for more information.
  • I would like to donate to prom, how can I do so?
    Email Michele (Michele.Rothstein@UHhospitals.org) to work together to find the perfect way to give back and help make this a special night for teens who have or had cancer in Northeast Ohio.
  • Is the venue ADA accessible?
    Yes! Truss Event Venue is completely wheelchair accessible. The entrance is flush with the outdoor walkway and the fully accessible ninth floor is just a short elevator ride away.
  • Will prom be indoors or outdoors?
    The venue is indoors, however, there is a balcony overlooking the city that attendees will have access to, weather permitting.
  • What safety measures do you have in place?
    We will have a private security guard during the entire duration of the event. The limited-access elevators for Truss run exclusively from the first to the ninth floor where prom is being held, only allowing event staff and guests into the space. Oncology nurses from each hospital will be in attendance and on busses in case of emergencies.
  • Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?
    Dishes will be labeled and common allergens will be listed. If you have an allergy or require a special meal, please let Michele know by emailing Michele.Rothstein@UHhospitals.org
  • Is there a quiet space to go if I become overstimulated?
    Yes! We have a dedicated quiet room that will have crafts, board games, and plenty of seating should the atmosphere become overwhelming at any point.
  • Are there places nearby for parents to hangout while prom is occuring?
    Yes! As parents are not allowed in the venue at Prom, we wanted to make sure you know there are many great places nearby in Ohio City.
